Job Summary

HEQA Security is seeking an experienced and driven QA Lead to establish and lead the Quality Assurance function within the company. As our first dedicated QA professional, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the QA methodologies, processes, and automation framework while performing hands-on testing for our Quantum Key distribution  systems.

Our products are highly integrated quantum communication cybersecurity systems, combining user interfaces, embedded software, hardware modules, and physical devices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in QA for similar systems and thrive in a dynamic, hands-on role that interfaces with multiple teams, including R&D, Product, Operations & Manufacturing, and Customer Support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement QA methodologies, standards, and processes across the company.
  • Perform hands-on QA testing, including both manual and automated testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline QA processes.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D to test software, particularly embedded and integrated systems, and hardware, particularly optical communication setups.
  • Work with Operations & Manufacturing to ensure seamless QA for physical devices and their software.
  • Partner with the Product team to ensure QA aligns with product requirements and customer needs.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring software meets high-quality standards.
  • Handle defect tracking, reporting, and analysis to continually improve product quality.
  • Balance priorities between building automation tools and executing manual testing as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on software and integrated systems. Minimum 5 years of QA experience.
  • Proven track record of establishing and implementing QA methodologies and processes.
  • Strong experience in both manual and automated QA testing.
  • Experience with QA tools, automation frameworks, and defect tracking systems, Including JIRA.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and software running on physical devices.
  • Familiarity with optical communication setups is an advantage.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on execution.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with QA for communication equipment.
  • Proficiency in testing embedded systems or products involving hardware and software integration.
  • Background in automation framework development for complex systems.
  • Interest in quantum encryption and cybersecurity technologies.
